J/70 Australia - Class Rules Self-Compliance Form

This document to be completed by the owner/person in charge and submitted by the end of registration for each regatta as specified in each regatta Notice of Race.

It is strongly recommended this form is reviewed prior to bringing your boat to an event venue.

Important — before final registration for an event:

Confirm that all crew members are current financial members of the J/70 Australia Class Association.
Membership can be renewed here: https://www.j70australia.org/registration/
Crews will need to record their World Sailing ID and World Sailing categorization (Group 1 or Group 3).If you or your crew need World Sailing categorization, visit https://members.sailing.org/
Confirm that your boat is registered for the current financial year with the J/70 Class Association.

Secure the boat's event bow number (assigned and provided by the J/70 Australia Class Association);

Section F - Racing Division Declaration

Please confirm the Divisions in which you are racing:*

Open – all boats eligible

Corinthian - The entire crew including the owner/helmsperson shall provide proof of a valid World Sailing Group 1 categorization at the time of registration. The Corinthian Division shall be scored as a sub-division of the whole fleet using the competitor’s actual scores.

Young Crew – The entire crew including the owner/helmsperson shall provide proof that no crew member is over 30 years of age as at and including the last day of the regatta. The Young Crew division shall be scored as a sub-division of the whole fleet using the competitor’s actual scores.

Mixed Plus - The crew shall consist of 4 or more persons and contain no more than two (2) males over 18 years of age. The Mixed Plus division shall be scored as a sub-division of the whole fleet using the competitor’s actual scores.
